Windows 6

YomoMedia has been completely redesigned for Windows Phone 7. We’ve continued our high standards with features like rich media download, sharing over social media, and a great user experience.

With the release of our new version, we will no longer actively develop or provide support for our Windows Mobile 6.5 version. Microsoft is putting their resources into Windows Phone 7, and so are we. We will also no longer actively develop or provide support for our web-based YomoMedia Reader to manage content. Both applications are still available and free to use. For our users who have upgraded to the YomoMedia7 client, or may be thinking about it, with our December 2010 release you have several options to manage your content.

  • Built-in YomoMedia Catalog
  • Google Reader
  • YomoMedia Reader (will go offline as of March 31st, 2011)

Built-in YomoMedia Catalog

From the beginning, the YomoMedia7 application has come pre-loaded with content selected by our editors. The catalog can be managed and expanded by entering a URL directly or using the built-in search to find feeds on the internet.

Google Reader

You can link the YomoMedia7 application to Google Reader. Google Reader has many great features, and is free to use. For those desiring more power and control over their content, this is a great option.

YomoMedia Reader

6.5 and 7 users who prefer the YomoMedia Reader to manage content can also link to this application.

We will keep a legacy version of the web application online until march 31st, 2011. To preserve your content library, you can migrate from the YomoMedia Reader to Google. Export your OPML list from YomoMedia Reader, and import into Google Reader and link it to your mobile client.

Although we enjoyed the challenge of creating the Reader application, we are going to focus our resources on the mobile user experience.
